Dana & Carlos Bridal Shower

Dana and Carlos are having a tropical wedding. So I decided to incorporate a little "beachy" theme to their shower cake. The roses surrounding their names are made of fondant, which I continued my experimentation with, and I think they came out wonderfully! For the feeling of the beach, I surrounded the cakes with a mix of brown sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Seashells of various sizes were made of pink and white chocolate marbled together.
Best Wishes and Congratulation to the happy couple!

Easter Chicks

I made these Easter chicks with devil's food cake. The wings, hair, beeks and feet were all made of chocolate which I piped onto drawings covered with waxed paper. The eggs they "hatched" out of were made of fondant.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Aaaahhhh, the wearing of the green, I mean eating of the green! This was my attempt at making a leprechaun's hat out of fondant. Couldn't get the ends to stay curled up, though! Even so, the cake was delicious and they had fun at their party!

Rosette and Garland Birthday

This birthday cake is red velvet and cream cheese filling (which seems to have become my "signature" cake, people seem to keep coming back for more). The rosettes are centered between red and blue garlands, which decorate the sides of the cake.

Valentine's Day Birthday Celebration

For a birthday cake ordered that coincided with Valentine's Day, it was decided to incorporate the two into one. Had to be red velvet cake on the inside, to continue the theme. Chocolate covered strawberries and pink chocolate lips complete the decoration.

Rosettes and Vines

One of our NYPD friends was visiting my school and after sampling a red velvet cake we were sharing at lunch, had to have one. No occasion, just wanted cake! And when you want cake . . . ya gotta have it!

Irish Birthday

My Mission? I was asked to create an "Irish Birthday Cake" with lots of green. Well, this definitely has lots of green (on the outside, anyway). Inside was moist and yummy chocolate cake.

Tink's Back

This birthday Tink hides a German Chocolate Cake, with chocolate and cherry filling.

Tinkerbell

For Stephie's Birthday! Fondant flowers and leaves (covered in pixie dust, of course), surround Tink. Inside, Tink is made up of Devil's Food Cake and buttercream filling.

Holiday "Presents"

I created a few of these cakes on order during the holidays. Red Velvet with cream cheese icing was popular, as was Devil's Food with Buttercream (in either Chocolate or Vanilla.
This particular cake was covered in cream cheese icing with a fondant bow. Others were covered completely in fondant, giving them a "boxier" look.
